About:

Founded in 2010, the Olive Osmond Hearing Fund serves both the deaf and hard of hearing communities with education, resources, and cutting-edge hearing equipment and devices. Justin Osmond started the organization in honor of his grandmother, Olive Osmond, the matriarch of the world-famous singing Osmond family.

Justin Osmond, an accomplished violinist, is himself 90% deaf. Since 2010, Olive Osmond Hearing Fund has provided hearing aids to over 2,500 children around the world and has outfitted several school districts with equipment to help teachers better communicate with deaf students. The organization also provides musical instruments and lessons to deaf children.

In 2020 the organization opened its first Chapter in New York, The Olive Osmond Hearing Fund New York Chapter, under Executive Director Debbie Meyfohrt.

Mission:

The Olive Osmond Hearing Fund’s mission is to improve and provide educational, musical, and hearing resources available to the deaf and hard of hearing.

Vision:

The Olive Osmond Hearing Fund not only provides quality hearing aids to the deaf and hard of hearing, but we are also bridge builders by helping these kids be all they can be. We intervene at an early age to help them reconnect with their families, friends and life by providing resources, inspiring messages, experiences, examples and role models.

We also help bring music to their ears by educating them of the many opportunities to reach for the stars. The issues limiting them is not their hearing loss, but a lack of hope, fear of failure, inadequacies, consequences, and the unknown. We aim to inspire and motivate these kids to be champions, and that they are more than capable to reach their greatest dreams and aspirations in life. We educate our constituents and their families that they may have a hearing loss, but their hearing loss does not have them. We are all in control of our destiny and the kind of person we want to become.
